Michael Korns, Sr.
Genealogy Home Page is dedicated to the genealogy and history of the Somerset County, Pennsylvania pioneer Michael Korn/Korns, Senior. He was born in Berks County, PA in 1760, was living in Maryland west of Fort Cumberland circa 1787, purchased land in Somerset County, PA (then part of Bedford County) circa 1795 and at some point moved there, and died in 1824.  

This family history site includes photographs of the Southampton Township, Somerset County PA farm and buildings associated with Michael Korns' life, and other photographs and documents of interest to Korn/Korns family descendants.

The complete 1949 book "The Genealogy of Michael Korns, Sr. of Somerset County Pennsylvania" by Charles Byron Korns, Sr., M.D. is also included for free downloading in PDF & text format.

Michael Korns, Sr. was the son of the immigrant Carl Korn of Maxatawney Township, Berks County PA, and was the father of Daniel, Catherine, Mary Magdalena, John, Susanna, Rebecca, Charles, Christina, Barbara, Delila, Michael Jr, and William Korns. Michael Korns' siblings were Catherine, Charles, Jacob, Daniel, Henry and Magdalena Korn/Korns.
