Introduction
The runaway truck song titled "Runaway" was developed iteratively, over a period of time. It was inspired by the various runaway truck accidents that occurred on the steep and winding descent from the crest of Big Savage Mountain on Pennsylvania Route 160. Part of that descent follows a spur of Big Savage Mountain that is locally (but unofficially) known as Wellersburg Mountain.
The iterative versions of the song that have been released are included below in the order they were created. Each version was given a different title, so you can tell them apart.

The song "Wellersburg" is a lively Country Music version of "Ode to Big Savage". Both songs were created at about the same time.
Steep and Winding Road
"Steep and Winding Road" is a Country Music-themed revision of "Ode to Big Savage" that I wrote to try to address the listener feedback referenced above.
From Big Savage Mountain Ridge
Eventually I realized that the lyrics to "Steep and Winding Road" could be improved a bit, and the result was the Bluegrass song "From Big Savage Mountain Ridge" (Lyrics).
Runaway
The Bluegrass song "Runaway" combines the improved "From Big Savage Mountain Ridge" lyrics with the original "Ode to Big Savage" tune.
