Based on personal knowledge and a deed search, I know that this photo is mis-captioned in the Korns book. This is actually the Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania farm of my grandparents Allen & Gladys (Bittner) Korns. Before Allen, the farm belonged to Allen's father John Wilson Korns, and before that it belonged to Allen's grandfather Daniel Korns, Jr. I know this farm very well. This farm is the first place I can remember living. My parents and I moved away when I was three years old, but we visited as often as we could, and I lived on and worked on the farm as a teenager during the summer of 1969. L. Dietle, April 9, 2025
