The photos on this page were provided by Ralph Dietle from the papers of his father Irvin Dietle, Sr. who was a son of Adam and Susan (Werner) Dietle. On a computer, you can reduce the size of the photos by reducing the size of the web page.
The first image below shows Adam and Susan Dietle with three of their children: John Milton Dietle (born April 21, 1892), Harry Dietle (born June 16, 1894), and Sadie Naomi Dietle (born March 21, 1890).
The next photo shows the Greenville Township home of Adam and Susan (Werner) Dietle. Their son Irvin Henry Dietle is standing on the porch.
The following is a photo of John Milton Dietle and his wife Bertha Naomi (Steinly) Dietle. Click here to see another picture of Bertha.
The next photo shows John and Bertha (Steinly) Dietle their three children. L to R: Bertha, Hubert, Carl, Dorthy, John.
The next photo shows Harry Dietle as a child.
The next photo shows Harry Dietle as a young adult. A few weeks before Ralph Dietle died, he gave this picture to me from the papers of his father (Harry's brother) Irvin Henry Dietle. A few weeks later David Meese gave me two more copies of the exact same picture, and indicated they had been taken and developed by Samuel S. Bair, and after Samuel died, then Samuel's daughter Margaret (Baer) Ackerman had them.
The next picture is a portrait of Simon Dietle. Click here for additional pictures of Simon Dietle.
The following is a picture of Irvin Henry Dietle and his sister Clara (Dietle) Geiger. Click here, here, and and here to see more pictures of Irvin Henry Dietle.
The following is a picture of Lloyd Mahlon Dietle and his sister Clara Belle Dietle.
The next photo shows Adam and Susan (Werner) Dietle and some of their adult children. For a slightly different version of this picture, click here and look at the bottom of the page that opens.
The next photo was taken at the farm of Irvin and Alma (Miller) Dietle, and they are standing together in the back row, in front of the barn. Lloyd Dietle, wearing glasses, is kneeling in front of Alma. The individual to the left of Lloyd is probably John Dietle, and he may be kneeling beside his wife Bertha. The older individuals standing on the right would be Adam and Susan (Werner) Dietle; I can identify Adam from a picture of him in old age that is included in Chapter 6 of the book "Descendants of Johann Adam Dietel of 19th Century Somerset County, Pennsylvania".
There are four copies of this picture of some of the children of Adam and Susan (Werner) Dietle. I took the image from one copy, and the list from another copy.
