In the next picture, developed in January of 1966, Irvin Dietle, Sr. is opening Christmas presents in his living room chair. I assume that the hat he is wearing was a Christmas gift.
The following picture (also developed in Jan. 1966) was taken in Irvin and Alma Dietle's living room, looking toward the kitchen. Jerry Saylor is standing in the doorway to the living room. Looking at the wall on the right, it is clear that the wallpaper is applied over vertically oriented boards, rather than over plaster. Jerry Saylor was a next door neighbor, and the father of Julia (Dietle) Saylor's husband Irving Saylor.
