The photo and description below were provided by Mike McKenzie. The photo is one of a number that were rescued from some Cumberland, Maryland area trash a number of years ago by one of Mike's friends.
This photo provides a view looking down from the southeast side of the Narrows. Piedmont and Columbia Avenue can be seen on the hillside as dirt streets. Mike has read that the large house with the tower belonged to a railroad official.
