The dots on the map below depict the route of Braddock's Road that is outlined on the topographical maps in Norman Baker's book "Braddock's Road Historical Atlas". I only placed dots on locations that could be determined with reasonable accuracy based on the terrain and landmarks that are depicted on Mr. Baker's topographical maps. You can zoom and pan the map on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.
There are a few gaps in areas of special interest to me that I still need to fill in, like Haystack Mountain and the Great Crossing. There is also a gap between Clarysville and Frostburg because I'm not sure that section of route is correct in Mr. Baker's book. My doubts about that section are presented in the book "Reconsidering Braddock's Road to Martin's".
Bear in mind that the route known as Braddock's road has varied over time due to factors such as government-funded road improvements and people detouring around bad sections of road. This means that even the sections of Braddock's road that are identified on early property surveys aren't necessarly part of the exact route followed by Braddock's expedition. For road improvement documentation, see the book "Fort Cumberland" or chapters 3 and 4 of "Reconsidering Braddock's Road to Martin's".
