The two photos below were taken in the yard of Roy and Estalene Dietle when their house was located at R.D. No. 5, Mercer, Pennsylvania. The first photo shows Allen & Gladys (Bittner) Korns, their son Alvin Lee Korns, and their granddaughter Dana Dietle, daughter of Roy and Estalene (Korns) Dietle. The photo was taken looking generally east-southeast, with the Dietle garden in the background. The little red shed on the left was a playhouse for the Dietle children. Originally, it was a "camper top" for the 1950s Ford pickup truck of Roy and Estalene Dietle. when it was used as a camper top, it had a convex plywood roof. Dana was born in July of 1959. Based on her size in the picture, the picture was probably taken circa 1963.
The next photo shows Dana sitting on Grammy Korns's lap. The photo was taken looking generally west, with the Marburger farm in the background.
