Home of William Bare, then Jacob Peter Miller

The following picture was provided by Denise McCurdy. On a computer, you can reduce the size of the picture by reducing the width of the viewing window.

A copy of the photo is also provided in the front matter of the 1995 book "Genealogy of the Relatives of Jacob Peter Miller and Catherine Bare Miller" (23,276 KB pdf). That book indicates the house was built for William Bare, the father-in-law of Jacob Peter Miller, and became the home of Jacob Peter and Catherine (Bare) Miller. The book also indicates that:

  • Tine Bare, who worked for Jacob and Catherine Miller, is seated highest on the steps.
  • Sarah Miller is seated on the steps, below Tine Bare.
  • William Wilson Miller is standing by the bottom step.
  • In front, from left to right, the individuals are Milton Peter Miller and Minerva Miller (both standing), Jacob Peter Miller and Catherine (Bare) Miller (seated), and then Ellen Miller and Harvey Miller (standing).
