This longrifle stock toeplate was found in a bucket of old Lepley gunsmithing hardware at the Alonzo Lepley estate auction that was held on the Lepley farm in the 1970's. It is for protecting and decorating the underside of the butt stock near the buttplate. It is made from non-ferrous material, and is 4.375" long.
