This is an antique sugar water tap that was found in a bucket of old Lepley gunsmithing hardware at the estate sale of Alonzo Lepley in Southampton Township, Somerset County, PA in the early 1970's. You drill a hole into the tree, then drive the tap in. The tap holds the sugar water pail and lets the sugar water drip into the pail. This is the only item in the bucket that wasn't a gunsmithing tool or a rifle part.
