This curved decorative rifle inlay was found in the early 1970's in a bucket of old Lepley gun parts on the Alonzo Lepley farm, Southampton Township Somerset County, PA. Front and rear views are shown; note the rear tack-like projections for retention to the rifle stock.. This item is made from non-ferrous material, and is 0.802" long. Each petal-like shape is engraved with radial lines, but that is difficult to see in the photos.
