This decorative engraved inlay/medallion was found in the early 1970's in a bucket of old Lepley gun parts on the Alonzo Lepley farm, Southampton Township Somerset County, PA. It is made from brass, and measures 1.427" in length by 0.075" thick. It may have been intended as a decorative element on a rifle, such as a cheek piece inlay.
