John Deere combine illustration

This illustration of a tractor-towed combine is from a copy of the 1949 John Deere "Farmers Pocket Ledger" (83rd Annual Edition) that belonged to my grandfather Irvin Henry Dietle. The illustrated combine matches my recollection of the combine my grandfather Allen Lester Korns was using on his Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania farm when I was a child.
