This is a photo of my mother Estalene (Korns) Dietle (born April 13, 1933) being held by her father Allen Lester Korns. Because of the dinner bell in the photo, I know that Allen Korns was standing near the kitchen door of his Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania farmhouse. He was probably standing on the cement sidewalk that ran the length of the house. The picket fence in the background was gone by the time of my earliest memories.
