Luther Korns was the son of Allen Lester Korns and Gladys (Bittner) Korns of Southampton Township, Somerset County, PA. He was born March 17, 1929, and died May 3, 1997. As a young man, he was a paratrooper with the US Army Airborne. He lived in Midlothian, Maryland. His wife was Faith (Crowe) Korns, who was born March 17, 1933 and died Dec. 2, 1996. Luther and Faith are buried at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, MD. When I was little, I was told that Luther broke his leg in a parachute jump when he was in the paratroopers. The children of Luther and Faith Korns are Rosalinda, Gregory, and Valerie.
