This is the front inside cover and first page of an undated 4.2" x 8.8" Psalm book that was handed down in the Daniel Korns, Jr. family line. I have included an upside-down view of the inside cover as well, so that the upside down name "Catherina Korns" can be more easily read.
The book has several names written on it, including Daniel S (I think) Korn his book, Michael Korn, Catherina Korns, and Caty Korn his book, and Solomon Korn. I don't know who Caty Korn was, nor do I know which Daniel Korns the book actually belonged to. I do, however, suspect that it may have been one of the lot of books which Daniel Korns, Sr. bought from his father Michael's estate (See the C.B. Korns book). The reason I suspect this is because Allen Korns owned a large quantity of old German books that were handed down through the Korns family, and this was one of them. Most of the books were sold at the household auction of Mrs. Allen Korns of Southampton Township, Somerset County PA circa 1974/75, but this one was handed down to a family member. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of the German books that were sold at the Mrs. Allen Korns household auction, please let me know as I would love to see them again sometime.
