The log house where the Bible was found is located at 39.742981864, -79.01255098, which is near the pond on the Greenville Road. The following picture was provided to Ralph by the woman who found the Bible. On the back of this picture, she wrote:
"The Dietle House 1918
The Robert Briskey House 1955 moved in".
According to neighbor (and relative) David Lawrence Jackson, Karl Dietle lived in the house before Robert Briskey. David added that his father and Karl Dietle really liked to hunt, and Karl Dietle preferred venison to beef. David also mentioned that he remembered seeing Bertha (Karl's mother) at the house.
On the following excerpt from a 1949 map, the location of the house where the Bible was found is identified with a red arrow:
The woman who gave Ralph the Bible and house picture also gave him a picture of the Fuller & Knepp sawmill on Murray Road.
