This is an older photo of the church that Roy and Estalene (Korns) Dietle attended for most of the time they lived in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. It is the Vincent United Methodist Church in Jackson Center, Pennsylvania. The photo was taken by Roy, and converted from a slide by his daughter Dana.
Roy and Estalene were deeply committed members of the church and, volunteered in various capacities. Roy’s obituary indicates that he served as a lay speaker, trustee, Sunday school teacher, and superintendent. Estalene helped in the church kitchen, served on a board that made executive decisions, helped with Vacation Bible School, attended Bible studies, attended conference as a church representative, and participated in Women’s Christian Temperance Union meetings. Their participation in the church continued until Roy died, and Estalene moved away to a retirement condominium in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania.
When I was a little kid, I asked a church member why the bell wasn't in a steeple. He told me that it had been, but the steeple had become unsafe to support the weight of the bell, so they took the bell down and put it on display. I don't remember if the church still had a steeple at the time of my question.

The following ten second video was taken at the Vincent United Methodist Church in the late 1950s or early 1960s by Roy Dietle. Estalene (Korns) Dietle is carrying a white purse and appears shortly before the child carrying a baby. I am guessing this was before Dana was born in 1959, because Estalene is not carrying or walking with Dana.
