The photo below, which was provided by Mike McKenzie, is one of a number of railroad-related photos that were rescued from some Cumberland, Maryland area trash years ago by one of Mike's friends.
Patrick Stakem reports that this photo shows the York Hotel on the right, the B&O freight terminal in the background, and noted the firebreak cut on Haystack Mountain. Mike McKenzie describes this photo as showing the intersection of Park and Baltimore Streets looking west towards the Narrows, in the early 1960s. I don't know enough about Cumberland to know if these two descriptions are harmonious.
