The photos below were provided by Mike McKenzie. The photos are from a cache of photos that was rescued from some Cumberland, Maryland area trash years ago by one of Mike's friends.
Mike McKenzie and Patrick Stakem report that the following photo shows new bridge construction over Wills Creek. Patrick describes the photo as looking east down Baltimore street, while Mike describes it as being at Washington and Baltimore streets, in the late 1950s. The Fort Cumberland Hotel is visible in the background.
Patrick Stakem reports that the following photo shows the new Baltimore Street bridge over Wills Creek, at a grade crossing of the Western Maryland Railway. He notes the Algonquin Hotel on left, and the cement plant behind hotel. Mike McKenzie described this photo as showing the bridge at Washington and Baltimore streets looking west, with the Queen City Brewing Company smokestack in the background.
