Glenda (Tressler) Smith reports that the following excerpt from the March 25, 1909 issue of the Meyersdale Republican newspaper pertains to the transfer of property for the Brushtown School building at the intersection of Jersey Hollow Road, Draketown Road, and Brushtown Road in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. She also reports that the property was originally part of her GG-Grandma Hartzell's farm and states, "After the school closed in the 30s, my granddad's cousin and her husband, Nelson and Grace (Kimmel) Rugg, converted it to a home and lived there until Grace died. I know it was sold after that..."
