The following picture, which was taken at the Maust School, was provided by Donna Knupp. She reports that:

  • The Maust School was located in Lincoln Township near Allenvale.

  • The school included grades one through eight.

  • Her grandmother Jennie (Lint) Knupp (1888-1980) attended the school and is the first girl on the left in the second row from the bottom.

  • She believes that Jennie Lint's brother Earl Lint (1890-1984) is the first boy (i.e., the second student) on the left in the bottom row.

Allenvale is about 6.7 road-miles north-northwest of the town of Somerset, Pennsylvania, on the Lincoln/Jefferson township line. I didn't find the Maust School on the old topographic maps I examined.
