This is a 1903 post card that shows an "encampment" in front of the Highland Inn. The post card was postmarked July 31, 1903 in Somerset Pennsylvania. According to the book "Images Of Our Past", the Highland Inn was built in 1895 and burned down in 1909. My guess, and it is only a guess, is that this may be a G.A.R. reunion encampment. If anyone knows for sure what this post card represents, please e-mail me at 1@korns.org .
