Rear of partially collapsed house on Michael Korns, Sr. farm

This 1999 photograph of the rear of the old farmhouse on the Michael Korns, Sr. Somerset County, PA family farm shows the open terrain in front of the house. Note that there were fewer windows on the rear of the house. Also note the angulated marking on the siding which indicates that the roof of the rearward-extending wing also extended over an exterior door to create a porch roof over the door. Also note the remains of the "tin" roof.

I was told that the crude balcony hanging from the now-exposed interior wall was constructed as a safety measure one time when the house was being used as a "haunted house" for Halloween.
