This following deed is found with Mercer County (
Pennsylvania ) Recorder of Deeds in Mercer County Courthouse in Deed Book H,
Vol. 2, pp. 214:
This indenture made the Sixteenth of January in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight Between Allen
Morrison of Perry Township County of Mercer and State of Pennsylvania and Nancy
his wife of the first part and John Cleeland of the same place of the second
part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the
United States of America, unto them will and truly paid by the said party of
the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents this
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; have granted, bargained, sold, alien,
enfeoffed, released, conveyed, and confirmed and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party
of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all that certain piece of parcel of
land situate in the above named place and bounded and described as follows to
wit; Beginning at the South West corner of the whole tract thence running North
two and a half degree West by land of David P. Long eighty perches to a post
thence North eighty seven and a half degree East by the other land of
Allen Morrison one hundred perches to an alder in or near the creek thence
South two and a Half __ East by other land of said Allen Morrison eighty
perches to a post on the South line of the whole tract. Thence South
eighty given and a half degrees West along said South line by land of William
Hutcheson one hundred perches to a chestnut the place of begining containing
fifty acres neat measure* Together with all and singular the
hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever, thereunto belonging, or in
anywise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and
profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim,
and demand, whatsoever, of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity,
or otherwise howsoever, of, in and the same and every part thereof:
To Have and to Hold the said hereditaments and
premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the
appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns,
To and For the only Proper Use and Behoof of
the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever, and Allen
Morrison & Nancy his wife the said parties of the first part, their heirs,
executors and administrators, do by these presents convenant, grant and agree
to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that they
the said party of the first part, their heirs and assigns, that they the
said party of the first part, their heirs, all and singular the hereditaments
and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned, and intended so
to be,, with the appurtenances, unto the asaid [party of the second part his
heir and assigns, against them the said parties of the first part, and their
heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully
claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof
Shall and will warrant and forever defend

On the Sixteenth day of January Anno Domini, 1858 before
me, a Justice of the Peace came the above named Allen Morrison and Nancy his
wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and assigned
that the same might be recorded as such. She the said Nancy being of full
age; and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, and the
contents of the said indenture being first made fully known to her, declared
that she did, of her own free will and accord sign and seal, and as her act and
deed, deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband

* [lot. No. eighty six (86) in the fifth District of
Donation lands of which this piece or parcel is a part was conveyed by Ann Nice
by deed bearing date the twenty first day of March One thousand eight-hundred
and thirty two to Washington Nice and Levi Nice and the survivors of them and
the said Washington Nice having since deceased the aforesaid tract or lot of
land was conveyed by deed bearing date the nineteenth day of March one thousand
eight hundred and fifty three by the said Levi Nice to Allen Morrison of the
first part in this indenture

The following deed is found with Mercer County (
Pennsylvania ) Recorder of Deeds in Mercer County Courthouse in Deed Book C,
Vol. 4, pp. 7:
This Indenture made the second day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy eight between John Cleeland and Betsy his
wife of Perry Township County of Mercer to Thomas S. Powell of Sandy Lake for
$2400. Being the same land conveyed by Allan Morrison and his wife Nancy
by deed dated 16th day of Jan AD 1858, 50 acres 100 perches.
