Descendants of John Korns, son of Michael Korns, Sr.

Introduction
The descendants of John Korns, the son of Michael Korns, Sr. and his wife Susannah, are covered briefly in Chapter VI of the book "Genealogy of Michael Korns, Sr.", pages 110-113, available on this website by clicking here. The book indicates that John had five children with his first wife, and four children with his second wife.

Supplemental Information provided by Anita Mott
The following supplemental information about David Korns, one of the children of the first wife, was provided by Anita Mott in March 2007:

"John was b. 1787, married (1) Rebecca Boucher. They had one child, David William Korns, b. 31 Jul 1819 in Somerset County, Pa. Rebecca died (possibly in childbirth) and John married (2) Susan Kendall. They moved to Holmes County, Ohio where John died 4 Sep 1868. I have just begun researching this family, so I don't know it John and Susan had any children.

David William Korns m. Margaret Steele. In 1880, they were living in Berlin, Holmes, Ohio, with several of their children (John Steele, Rhoda Jane, Cora B., Clara A., and three orphaned grandchildren: Sibyl and Effie Beegle (daughters of Joseph Beegle and Martha Korn) and Lucetta Chevallard (daughter of John Chevallard and Margaret Lucetta Korns). John Chevallard may have taken a second wife named Mary. He was born in France in 1846.

Effie Eloisia Beegle went to Trumbull County, Ohio, where she found employment in the household of widowed Owen Nelson Moser. Owen's children were: Ethel Pearl, Mary Ida, Morris Milton and Lewis Dewey. Morris (my grandfather) was 10 when his mother died of ungentine fever and soon developed a bad case of "puppy love" for their new housekeeper. He never really forgave her for marrying his father in 1903!

Effie and Owen had a daughter, Helen Clara b.11 Jun 1904 in Leavittsburg, Trumbull, Ohio on the Moser farm. Helen married Lawrence Eaton and they lived with their four children across the street in Warren, Trumbull, Ohio from my grandfather. I attended school with their youngest child, Lawrence, Jr. Helen died in Jul. of 1985. I have a photos of Helen with her half-siblings."
