The image below is from the 1850 census of Berlin Township, Holmes County, Ohio, courtesy of L. Graveley. Presumably, it enumerates the Jacob Korn who was the brother of Michael Korn, Senior, even though it identifies Jacob's birth place as Maryland. (A lot of information in census records is incorrect because the people providing information to the census taker didn't always know the correct information for other family members.) If Jacob's age was indeed 81 in 1850, he would have been born around 1769. Although not proof positive of Jacob's birth year, the census record is harmonious with the February 8, 1781 Orphan's Court records from Reading, PA which indicate that Jacob was still a minor in 1781 (along with minors Michael, Daniel, Henry, and Magdalena).
Jacob Korn is also enumerated on page 22 of the 1820 Berlin Township, Coshocton County, Ohio federal census. (Holmes County was formed from
portions of Coshocton, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties in 1824). The 1820 and 1850 census records could be compared to see if they both indicate the same birth year (I don't have a copy of the 1820 census.)
