The following video is about the old 1800s wagon road in Southampton Township of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. It runs from the village of Wellersburg up to Cook Cemetery on the old Michael Korn, Sr. farm. This is nothing fancy. It's just some cell phone video we happened to take one rainy winter day in 2022 as we drove up the old road in my Jeep. The video wasn't taken for the purpose of putting it on the internet.
The road is known as East Mineral Street in the little village of Wellersburg. It continues up the mountain side as the East Mineral Street Extension. When I was a kid, my grandmother Gladys Edna (Bittner) Korns took me down this road on our way from her home down to Mutt Witt's Store in Wellersburg.
