This map of Wellersburg is from the 1876 Beers Atlas of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. One thing that it shows, that I don't yet understand, is the "I.C. Canfield & Co. Furnace". This is shown about where the remains of the Wellersburg iron furnace is located that the history books tell us was abandoned in 1866. This map also shows us where John R. Brinham's store and residence were located.
