This photo shows my grandfather Allen Lester Korns posing with his horses and two of his boys while harrowing a field with a spring-tooth harrow on his Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania farm. One of his sons is riding a horse that is tied to the team for training. Also note the spacing stick that keeps the team spaced apart. I'm fairly sure the harrow in this picture is the one my Father Roy Emerson Dietle towed behind his Farmall Cub to prepare our garden for planting in Mercer County back when I was a kid.
