On Jan. 6, 2006, in regard to the above photograph of Mrs. Christian Petenbrink, Andy Petenbrink wrote "The attached files contain the picture of Anna Elizabeth Petenbrink and the inscription entered by Doris Pfeiffer. The inscription contains the same information that has been circulated by many members of the family. I do not believe that her maiden name was Winters. I have a death certificate completed by Peter Petenbrink stating that his mother's maiden name was Keilman. Anna Elizabeth's mother's maiden name was Lemmert. Her first and middle names were Anna Christina. Her father was Andrew and her mother was Anna Martha Shallos. She was born in 1791 in Iba, Germany and arrived in America through the Port of Baltimore - July 1842. Her husband was Conrad Keilman. The Ship Passenger Record indicates that the spelling was Keulman. All the Census records that I have located suggest that they switched to Keilman sometime after their arrival. Conrad died before the 1850 Census. The family members arriving in 1842 were living in Allegany County during the 1850 Census. They moved to Perry County, Indiana and are listed in the 1860 Census. Daughter Mary married Earnest Winters and lived in Perry County."
