The following article is from the July 31, 1895 issue of the "Somerset Herald" newspaper. It describes the use of pack-horses to carry goods west, the Tissue murder, and a fight between a packhorse man and a local resident named Mitchell as a test of strength and skill. I don't remember who sent the newspaper article to me.
