This is half of a bullet mold. It was found in a bucket of old Lepley gunsmithing hardware in Southampton Township, Somerset County, PA. It was for making small caliber round balls of about 0.28" diameter for use in muzzle-loading firearms. The overall length of this item is about 4-5/16". It is constructed from ferrous material.
