Petition of JOHN COOK for Guardian for three of his minor children, to Wit: WILLIAM, DAVID & MARY CATHARINE

 

To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of Somerset County.

The Petition of JOHN COOK, respectfully represents – That his first wife ELIZA, now deceased was a daughter and heir at law of ISAAC HARDEN, late of Southampton township in said county – That said ISAAC HARDEN, died intestate, leaving some real & personal estate – that his wife ELIZA left issue as the fruits of their matrimonial union Four children, to wit: HANSON, WILLIAM, DAVID AND MARY CATHARINE, who are minors and have no person legally authorized to take charge of the estate they are entitled to from their said grandfather ISAAC HARDEN's Estate – that the three last of said minors to wit: WILLIAM, DAVID & MARY CATHARINE are under the age of fourteen years.

Your petitioner therefore prays your honors to appoint some suitable person as Guardian to take charge of the funds they are entitled to out of the estate of said ISAAC HARDEN deceased in right of their said mother ELIZA COOK deceased, and he will pray &c.  JOHN COOK

 

JACOB COOK appointed Guardian, Bail in $400 for each.

Petition of HANSON COOK minor Son of JOHN COOK & ELIZA his wife for Guardian

 

To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of Somerset County

The petition of HANSON COOK, a minor son of JOHN COOK & ELIZA his wife (now deceased) who was a daughter & heirs at law of ISAAC HARDEN late of Southampton township in said county, deceased respectfully represents .

That his said mother lately died intestate – That in right of his said mother he is entitled to a portion of the funds arising from the sale of the real and personal estate of ISAAC HARDEN, aforesaid deceased.  That he has no person legally authorized to take charge of said funds – he therefore prays the court to appoint some person Guardian to take charge of the funds coming to him out of the real & personal estate of said ISAAC HARDEN deceased – and he will pray &c.  HANSON COOK

 

Estate about $200 to each of ELIZA's heirs – Bail in $400.
