To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of Somerset
County.
The Petition of MARY ANN TROUTMAN and LEVI TROUTMAN, minor
children of PETER TROUTMAN (and LYDIA TROUTMAN late LYDIA HARDEN), a daughter
and heir at law of ISAAC HARDEN, late of Southampton Township, deceased –
Respectfully represents – That their Mother LYDIA TROUTMAN a daughter and heir
at law of ISAAC HARDEN dec'd died some time previous to the decease of ISAAC
HARDEN, That by the death of ISAAC HARDEN their grandfather they in right of
their late Mother LYDIA are entitled to a Share in the estate of said ISAAC
HARDEN dec'd – That they have no person legally authorized to take charge of
this estate – they therefore pray this Court to appoint some suitable person

Petition of PETER TROUTMAN for Guardians for
DANIEL, JONATHAN & JOHN three of his sons by his late wife LYDIA
Jany 4, 1850 JOHN R. BRINHAM appointed Guardian
To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of Somerset
County.
The Petition of PETER TROUTMAN respectfully presents – That his
late wife LYDIA TROUTMAN a daughter and heir at law of ISAAC HARDEN late of
Southampton Township deceased, died some time previous to her said father,
leaving issue, Seven children, Three of whom are DANIEL, JONATHAN & JOHN
whom are under fourteen years of age. That by the death of their grandfather
ISAAC HARDEN, they in right of their late mother LYDIA became heirs at law to a
portion of the estate of said ISAAC HARDEN – that they have no person legally
authorized to take charge of this estate for them & therefore prays the
Court to appoint some proper person for that purpose & he will pray &c.
The appointment of JOHN R. BRINHAM will meet the approbation of
your Petitioner. The amount coming to each of the children will be about

Bond JOHN R. BINGHAM Guardian of DAVID, JONATHAN & JOHN
TROUTMAN
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, THAT WE JOHN R. BRINHAM and PHILIP
DOM are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the sum
of Sixteen Hundred dollars lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the
said Commonwealth, which payment well and truly to be made, we do bind
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally,
firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 4th
day of January A.D. 1850.
The condition of this obligation is such, that if the above
bounden JOHN R. BRINHAM Guardian of DAVID, JONATHAN & JOHN TROUTMAN minor
children of PETER TROUTMAN of Southampton township in the County of Somerset,
shall at least once in three years, or whenever required by the Court, render a
just and true account to the Orphans' Court of the County aforesaid, (according
to the directions of the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided) of
the management of the property and estate of the said minors under his case, and
shall also deliver up the said property agreeably to the decree or order of the
said Court, or the directions of the law; and shall in all respects faithfully
perform the duties of Guardian; then the above obligation shall be void and of
no effect, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue. JNO R.

Bond JOHN R. BRINHAM Guardian of MARY ANN & LEVI TROUTMAN
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, THAT WE JOHN R. BRINHAM and JOHN
O. KIMMEL are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in
