The following pages from Florence Espy's 1905 book "History and Genealogy of the Espy Family in America" provide biographical information about David Espy and his eldest daughter Mary. Page 46 states, "This family still own and occupy the old home of Col. Espy, in which he entertained General Washington at the time of the 'Whiskey Insurrection.'"
