The following picture shows the right-hand rear portion of the rifle, which is stocked in curly maple. The lock is a commercially produced item, and the percussion drum has a vent screw. The rifle is equipped with a double set trigger assembly with a curved set trigger and a straight hair trigger. The trigger guard and the peripheral shape of the patch box appear to be identical to another Samuel Conrad rifle on this website.
