The following three undated affidavits are related to the Civil War pension of the Jonathan Dormayer. Knowing that he led a productive life as a gunsmith, I believe these affidavits are related to an application for an increase in his pension that was submitted a few years before his death. The affidavits report that he was afflicted with diarrhea while in the hospital for his leg wound during the Civil War, and as a civilian was suffering so bad that he was nearly helpless and needed constant care.
Regarding the following affidavit, a Dormayer genealogist reports that Samuel Dietz was the brother of Jacob C. Dietz, who was the husband of Jonathan Dormayer's daughter Delilah.
