In the following May 12, 1817 deed, which was recorded on May 31, 1817 beginning on page 235 of Allegany County land record book IJ, George Rizer of Allegany County, Maryland purchased a 463-acre tract of land called "Bowling Green" (Allegany County Patented Certificate 312) from Upton Bruce.
