1825-1884: The following information, which is probably autobiographical, is from the "Town of Clarno" chapter of the 1884 book "History of Green County, Wisconsin". It indicates that Albert Albright, a son of Zachariah Albright and Elizabeth (Cramer) Albright, was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania in 1825; moved from Centre County to Mifflin county circa 1827 at about age 2; moved from Mifflin County to Centre County circa 1836 at about age 11; moved from Centre County to Bedford County circa 1844 at about age 19; moved from Bedford County to Stephenson County (Illinois) circa 1847 at about age 22; and moved from Stephenson County to Green County, Wisconsin circa 1859 at about age 34. It indicates that Albert "...learned the trade of gunsmith, at which he worked a good many years." It also indicates that at the time the excerpt was written, Albert's father Zachariah Albright was also living in Green County, Wisconsin.
The following excerpt is from Claribel Albright's 1941 book "Some Records of the Albright Family". It indicates that Albert Albright was a son of a gunsmith named Zachariah Albright, and was the grandson of another gunsmith named Jacob Albright. This makes it easy to surmise that Albert Albright learned gunsmithing via his family.
1850: In the following excerpt from the 1850 census records of Stephenson County, Illinois Albert Albright is living in the household of his 54-year-old father Zachariah Albright.
On the very next page of the Stephenson County, Illinois census records, 28-year-old Zachariah Albright, Jr. is listed as a Pennsylvania-born gunsmith. The fact that Albert Albright's older brother Zachariah was a gunsmith is another data point that supports the supposition that Albert Albright learned gunsmithing via his family.
1851: According to excerpt from the "Town of Clarno" chapter of the 1884 book "History of Green County, Wisconsin" that is included above, Albert Albright and Sibia Babb were married on February 27, 1851.
1859-1924: David H. Albright is buried at the Greenwood Cemetery at Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin, where his tombstone indicates he was born in 1859 and died in 1924.
1860: Albert Albright and his father Zachariah Albright are listed as farmers in the following excerpts from the manuscript 1860 census records of Green County, Wisconsin:
1863-1864: George Albright is buried in the West Clarno Pioneer Cemetery, where his tombstone states, "GEORGE Son of A & S ALBRIGHT BORN AUG. 23, 1863 DIED FEB. 3, 1864".
1867-1932: Albert Albright, Jr. is buried in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Green County, Wisconsin, where his tombstone indicates he was born in 1867 and died in 1932.
1867: Albert Albright's mother Elizabeth Albright died on December 26, 1867 and is buried in the West Clarno Pioneer Cemetery.
1869: The following excerpt is from the "Town of Clarno" chapter of the 1884 book "History of Green County, Wisconsin" indicates that Albert Albright donated land for a church that was built and dedicated in 1869:
1870: The following excerpt is from the Clarno section of the 1870 census records of Green County, Wisconsin:
1878-1940: Alta Ella (Albright) Riemer is buried at the Rock Grove Cemetery in Stephenson County, Illinois, where her tombstone indicates she was born in 1878 and died in 1940.
1880: Zachariah Albright is living in the household of his son Albert Albright in the following excerpt from the Clarno section of the 1880 census records of Green County, Wisconsin:
1886: Albert Albright's gunsmith brother Zachariah died in 1886 and is buried in the New Hampton Cemetery in Chickasaw County, Iowa, where the tombstone he shares with his wife includes the following text: "ZACHARIAH ALBRIGHT BORN IN MILLHEM PENN FEB. 3, 1822 DIED OCT. 1886 — CATHARINE KEPLER HIS WIFE BORN IN PINE GROVE PENN AUG. 17, 1824 DIED NOV. 1896".
1889: Albert Albright's father Zachariah Albright died in 1889, and is buried in the West Clarno Pioneer Cemetery, where his tombstone states, "ZACHARIAH ALBRIGHT BORN SEPT. 10, 1796 DIED MAY 28, 1889".
1900: The following excerpt is from the 1900 census records of Clarno, Green County, Wisconsin.
1906: Albert Albright's wife Sibia died on December 16, 1906 and is buried at the West Clarno Pioneer Cemetery (42.519005540, -89.6535670) at the village of Clarno in Green County, Wisconsin.
1910: I did not find Albert Albright, Sr. in the 1910 census records of Clarno Township, Green County, Ohio.
1914: Albert Albright is buried at the West Clarno Pioneer Cemetery. The tombstone he shares with his wife states, "ALBERT ALBRIGHT BORN JAN. 27, 1825 DIED MAR. 8, 1914 SIBIA HIS WIFE BORN FEB. 9, 1832 DIED DEC. 16, 1906 GONE HOME".
