The following excerpt from the book "History of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania" describes the Baptist Church at Huntingdon, which was constituted on August 30, 1842 and included Abraham and Sarah Megahan as constituent members. The church was received into the Centre Baptist Association in 1843, dedicated a newly erected brick church structure in the fall of 1853.
