Locating the circa 1876 residence of Franklin F. Bittner
Franklin Bittner shows up in Greenville Township of Somerset County, Pennsylvania in the 1880 census records. We know from his tombstone and his death certificate that his middle initial was "F". The following excerpt from the Greenville Township map in the 1876 Beers atlas of Somerset County, Pennsylvania locates F. F. Bittner just southeast of the intersection (39.74636885, -78.92816587) of present-day Fallen Oak Drive and Tall Pine Drive.
