These photos of the tombstones Johann Adam Dietel and his wife Mary Ann were taken at the Greenville Union Cemetery at the Greenville Lutheran Church in 1993 by Irvin Dietle, Jr. The church and cemetery are located in Greenville Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Johann Adam Dietel and his wife Mary Ann Dietel are the original immigrant ancestors of the Dietle/Deitle family of Somerset County. He is known as "Adam" in the family. The "Diettle" spelling on the tombstone is one of may different early spelling variations of the surname.
