Introduction
The bluegrass song "Birds of a Feather" is based on the true story on pages 62-63 of my 2024 memoir "In the Land of Used to Be," which is sold by the Mercer County Historical Society of Pennsylvania. The events in the song took place in Mercer County circa 1958/9.
