The following map documents a still-visible (circa 2009) abandoned road in the woods above Barrelville, Maryland. The mine cars ran along a track to a tipple that facilitated the loading of vehicles that used the mine road. This is a good example of a mine road not typically being a through road (map provided by local area resident Mike McKenzie).
