William Henry Korns, publishing in Nebraska in 1900

The pages below show a payment owed by the state of Nebraska to W.H. Korns for a small publishing job. This shows that he was in Nebraska at the time of the job (1900), and was in some kind of publishing business. The chapter this was in was titled "House Roll No. 437.--An Act making an appropriation for the payment of miscellaneous items of indebtedness owing by the state of Nebraska".

A biography of William H. Korns, son of Solomon, is provided on pages 89 & 90 of the 1949 book "The Genealogy of Michael Korns, Sr. of Somerset County Pennsylvania. Page 90 of that book states "In 1888 the couple located at Tekamah, Burt Co., Nebraska, where the husband bought and edited the "Burt County Herald" also becoming postmaster under Grover Cleveland."
