Francis R. Korns gives fraternal speech

This book shows that Francis R. Korns of the Modern Woodmen of America (a fraternal benefit society founded in 1883) presented a paper titled "The Fraternal Cause" at the 1915 convention of the National Fraternal Congress of America.

The 1949 book "The Genealogy of Michael Korns, Sr. of Somerset County Pennsylvania" states “Francis R. Korns, graduated in Law at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, in 1899, and practiced there nine years when he was elected treasurer of the Modern Woodmen for a term of three years, handling thirty million dollars without a loss of a dollar. He was then elected a Director and has that office since. He is also a regent of Drake University. He was born 1873.”

If I am reading the Korns book correctly, Francis R. Korns was the son of Joseph Korns and his wife Martha (Moore) Korns, and was the grandson of William Korns (the youngest son of Michael Korns, Sr.).
